Junior Controls Engineer

I am currently seeking a Junior Controls Engineer on behalf of my client, a leading designer and manufacturer of multi-stage ultrasonic cleaning and coating systems. Established in 1997, they supply cutting-edge solutions to a global customer base across multiple industries.

About the Junior Controls Engineer Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Junior Controls Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. The role involves working on full-scale projects rather than maintenance or small-scale modifications. You will be responsible for control system design, programming, and implementation, with involvement in the entire project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Controls Engineer:

  1. Designing and programming PLC control systems (preferably Allen Bradley or Siemens, but other PLC experience is acceptable).
  2. Working with electrical schematics, ideally using E-Plan, though other electrical CAD packages are considered.
  3. Involvement in electrical installations and system integration.
  4. Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  5. Supporting system commissioning and troubleshooting.
  6. International travel within Schengen countries (visa-free eligibility required).

Requirements for the Junior Controls Engineer:

  1. 2-3 years of experience in a controls engineering role.
  2. Knowledge of PLC programming and electrical schematics.
  3. Prior experience in Electrical Design.
  4. Previous experience working on full project lifecycles rather than maintenance or minor modifications.
  5. Ability to travel internationally without visa restrictions in Schengen countries.

Why Join?

  1. Work on innovative, large-scale projects with a well-established company.
  2. Opportunity to gain experience in a highly specialised industry with global exposure.
