Bennett and Game have the pleasure of exclusively representing a prestigious regional house developer based near Redhill, Surrey who are seeking a Head of Planning to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Planning to join a company with current turnover of £50 million and with steady growth plans anticipated. Our client is genuinely proud of their product, and are widely considered one of the premium house builders from both a specification and build quality perspective in the Home Counties and southeast of England.
This is an exciting time for a Head of Planning to come on board who currently have 14 developments in progress ranging from high-spec apartments through to 5&6 bed houses of a high-end and high-spec nature.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Expectations: £70k to £85k DOE
- Car Allowance £550 - £650 a month DOE

Job Overview
- The appointment and coordination of external planning consultants to oversee workloads on applications and appeals
- Support the land buying team on appraisals on future land purchases
- Undertake thorough site assessments
- Manage planning applications and planning condition discharges
- Prepare and manage the submission of planning applications
- Oversee s106 agreements and ensure planning condition compliance
- Support the Land & Planning team throughout the project management process, including amendments and discharge of conditions
- Reporting to Managing Director
Job Requirements
- Previous experience working in the private or house builder sector in the field of planning policy / strategic land
- Degree / Masters Planning Degree with an RTPI accreditation and a rounded knowledge of planning
- Ability to adapt to change and to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
