We are looking for a Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning models to produce real-time forecasting for operational and regulatory purposes. You will produce accurate forecasts for the club’s financial performance, focusing on the current financial/calendar year P&L, and collaborate closely with the Finance Business Partner team. Additionally, you will support the club’s statutory and regulatory requirements through data integrity and the production of insightful reports.

You will play a key role in enhancing internal reporting and developing the club’s strategy towards ‘big-data’, working with senior stakeholders to document information requirements and translating them into system-generated reports that aid in business decision-making and align with Premier League and UEFA financial rules.

Your impact

You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and be a qualified ACA/ACCA or CIMA. Your experience working with financial models will be key to maintaining the accuracy of the club’s forecasting, informing strategic decisions and monitoring financial compliance. With proven ability to work with large data sets and experience of using a data warehouse tool, you will produce finance focused models and reporting which effectively summarise and interpret large data sets and provide insight by telling the story of that data to influence decision making. You will have experience of working with ERP systems, ideally Workday Financials including Prism and Adaptive Planning modules.

About the team

You will sit within our Finance team, reporting into our Head of Financial Planning and Group Reporting working closely with the wider Finance team.

Location

This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of working 3 days per week from the office. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
