The Epic Solution Architect is a key role within our IT department helping to optimize the use of the Epic system. The primary responsibility of the role is to identify, develop and implement process automation initiatives. Additionally, they lead 3rd party data and system integrations within Epic. The Epic Solutions Architect performs the essential functions of the position noted below, while meeting the quality and service standards developed by the agency.

Essential Functions:
- Develops and executes robotic process automation initiatives based on business requirements of agency Directors.
- Actively pursues opportunities to automate non-value add work and reduce workload of Sales and Service staff.
- Partners with Applied Systems to test and integrate new tools which drive workload reductions.
- Processes the data conversions of acquired agencies into the agency management system, including data cleanup and manipulation.
- Identifies workflow enhancements which drive automated processes designed to improve the client experience.
- Utilizes SQL and other data management tools to perform data updates, account reassignments based on the needs of the Blue Ridge Directors.
- Serves as a backup to the Epic Specialist and Epic System Administrator.
- Supports other agency members in the following areas: Daily reporting within the Epic system.
- Reviews and establishes reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness at both the account and policy level.
- Attends new agency management system trainings and stays current on upcoming changes.
- Communicates effectively with others by utilizing strong communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the agency's business goals.
- Proactively seeks ways to improve client service and communicates ideas for enhanced client service.
- Ensures compliance with departmental reporting requirements.

- Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others, to explain insurance issues, to receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Experience with Applied Systems required.
- SQL coding experience or other data management experience.
- Property & Casualty License.
- Minimum of three (3) years of property and casualty experience.

This includes repeating motions that involve the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Position may require the employee to ascend and/or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like. High stress, fast-paced environment with a high volume of work to be completed daily. Limited physical effort required or exposure to physical risk. However, must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
