Our client, a thriving music booking agency, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager who has experience and understanding of the live music industry.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing contracts across the agency booking process.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a seamless execution of contracts.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and issuing Terms of Business to new clients.
  • Negotiating, drafting, and issuing contracts for domestic and international performances within deadlines.
  • Reviewing Offer Letters for shows and festivals.
  • Summarising rights and advising team of legal obligation for client contracts.
  • Overseeing, managing, and training the Contracts Assistant.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Manager regarding tax management for international shows.
  • Reviewing and updating contract templates annually.
  • Overseeing insurance policies working with senior management.
  • Supporting with the monitoring and development of internal systems and making recommendations of best practice.
  • Maintaining a library of executed agreements.
  • Developing the technical process for contract creation and storage.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in a contracting role within music essential.
  • Sound knowledge of the live events industry and understanding of commercial/agency contracts.
  • Confident negotiator.
  • Able to work across complicated international and domestic contracts with a range of company sizes.
  • Experience working across split contracts and international tax management is desirable.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Robust prioritisation skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
  • Adaptable approach to work.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Team collaboration and management experience.
  • Aware of legal changes and their impact on the industry.
