Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior transport and logistics management professional to join a progressive, successful and highly people-oriented growing organisation in the capacity of Commercial Director. They are keen to hear from ambitious individuals who thrive on taking full ownership, are committed to leading dynamic, results-oriented sales teams, developing talent and those who are focused on driving the sales teams to the next level of success. The role is Midlands based.
The client, an innovator in the distribution of goods globally, holds an impressive list of accreditations and awards for performance, training and innovation and excellence, to include Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management and additional recognition for being pioneers in their field.

The opportunity would suit a people-oriented leader and a creative problem solver, with a demonstrable track record of sales. It is essential that this success has been developed within the transport and logistics sector, and preference will be given to those with general haulage and hub management experience. You will be an inspiring and engaging leader, experienced in managing remotely, a team of mobile sales professionals. You will possess a high level of emotional intelligence and identify opportunities at all levels for sales growth.
In addition to your solid commercial experience and your ability to win new business and stay at the forefront of innovation, you will also have sound understanding of operations and work collaboratively with your colleagues throughout the business to realise the company\’s vision and achieve goals. The scope of this role is wide and varied and your leadership expertise cannot be underestimated; you will be a naturally energetic, motivational leader with drive and passion in what you do, capable of creating a collaborative environment in which people feel they are really part of the success of the business. Your natural presence and gravitas will inspire your team to achieve excellence in developing the customer base which is highly service led.
