Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ab Initio Lead Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide data processing and integration solutions using the Ab Initio platform. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, driving best practices, and ensuring optimal performance for complex data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architectural Design & Development:
Design scalable, efficient, and high-performing data solutions using the Ab Initio platform.
Develop end-to-end data integration frameworks and workflows using Ab Initio tools (e.g., GDE, Control Center, Express>It, and Metadata Hub).
2. Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance to development teams and ensure adherence to design and coding standards.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Ab Initio architecture and data processing frameworks.
3. Solution Delivery:
Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into data architecture and solutions.
Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, quality, and performance metrics are met.
4. Optimization & Best Practices:
Optimize existing Ab Initio processes to enhance performance and scalability.
Define and enforce best practices for data integration, ETL pipelines, and data governance.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with enterprise architects, data engineers, and business analysts to align solutions with business goals.
Communicate technical solutions to stakeholders and provide status updates.
6. Mentorship & Training:
Mentor and train team members on Ab Initio tools and methodologies.
Promote continuous learning and skill development within the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of experience in data integration, ETL, and data architecture.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio tools (GDE, Control Center, Conduct>It, etc.).
Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise data pipelines and ETL solutions.
Deep expertise in Ab Initio tools and components.
Proficiency in SQL, database technologies (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server), and Unix/Linux environments.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
Ab Initio Certified Architect (if applicable).
Cloud-related certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are an advantage.
