Your Role
We're seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Solutions Engineering Manager in London to lead and inspire our current EMEA team. You won't just be managing; you'll be in the trenches with your team, understanding our product deeply, and directly contributing to winning deals. You'll be a key player in driving Zip's growth across the region, partnering directly with sales leadership to achieve ambitious targets. This is not a traditional people manager role; it's a player-coach role where you'll lead by example, demonstrating excellence in pre-sales execution.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers. Provide coaching, guidance, and strategic deal support to ensure consistent success. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive Sales Execution: Partner with Sales leadership to develop and execute winning sales strategies. Actively participate in key deals, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance.
- Own the Technical Win: Ensure your team consistently delivers compelling product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and technical presentations that showcase the value of Zip to prospective customers.
- Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of Zip's product capabilities, roadmap, and competitive landscape. Be able to articulate the value proposition to both technical and business audiences. Be able and willing to jump in and do demos yourself.
- Feedback Loop: Act as a key conduit for feedback from the field to the Product and Engineering teams. Advocate for customer needs and contribute to the product roadmap.

Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS pre-sales/solutions engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and motivate high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and demonstration skills. Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of the Procurement, Finance, Spend management, or Accounting landscape and the challenges faced by CFOs or procurement leaders.
- Experience working in a hyper-growth or fast-scaling environment. Comfortable with ambiguity and change.
- Self-starter mentality with a proactive, 'get-it-done' attitude. You don't wait to be told what to do.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Haves
- Experience selling to procurement, finance, accounting, or legal departments.
- Experience selling to specific verticals Financial Services, Life Sciences, CPG, Retail, Healthcare, or Education.
- Familiarity with BSM, CLM, or ERP systems.
