About the role

We are looking for a hands-on IT and security professional to own everything: device management, user onboarding, compliance programmes, and customer-facing SSO configuration. You will be joining a lean, fast-moving team and building the internal infrastructure that lets us scale without breaking.

You will be responsible for:

  • Owning internal IT operations – device provisioning and management across a Mac fleet using Jamf; Google Workspace administration; SaaS access management, software licensing, and IT asset inventory; user onboarding and off-boarding end-to-end.
  • Building our security and compliance posture – ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 programmes; security policies, awareness, and audit processes; security questionnaires from enterprise prospects.
  • Managing customer-facing SSO – Enterprise SSO set-up and configuration (SAML/OIDC) for our customers; managing the technical back-and-forth with customer IT and security teams; working with engineers to automate what is currently a manual process.
  • Designing the systems that scale – The informal processes that got us to 40 people will not carry us to 100. You will build the tooling, documentation, and workflows that make IT and security repeatable, auditable, and fast.

Who you are

We are a small, exceptionally talented team building something ambitious. Every system we run needs to be as lean and well-designed as the product we ship to customers. We do not want someone who treats IT as a support function. We want someone who treats it as engineering. To thrive in this environment, you work closely with the CTO and engineering team to make decisions, bringing your own recommendations and driving things forward.

The ideal candidate is smart and driven and can learn fast. But also has done this a couple of times before and knows what good looks like, so can quickly understand what we are trying to achieve and move to execution fast. You are hands-on. Setting up laptops, troubleshooting issues, managing software access. You find that work satisfying, not beneath you. You build ahead of problems rather than reacting to them. You have the discipline to follow compliance processes consistently, not just when an audit is coming. And you are genuinely excited by the opportunity to build something from scratch at a company growing fast enough to make that work matter.

What you bring

  • 3-6 years of hands-on IT experience in a corporate or startup environment
  • Device management experience, Mac fleet and Google Workspace administration
  • Comfort owning user onboarding, off-boarding, and SaaS access management end-to-end
  • Security and compliance awareness, and the discipline to build repeatable processes around it
  • ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Type 2 involvement, either through a certification or day-to-day compliance work
  • Experience handling security questionnaires from enterprise customers
  • Customer-facing SSO configuration experience (SAML/OIDC)
  • Experience working as a sole IT operator at a startup (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with identity and access management tooling (nice to have)

What we offer

  • £65,000 – £90,000 base salary depending on experience
  • Significant equity; we want you to take real ownership in Solve Intelligence
  • Full visa sponsorship
  • Opportunity to build and own a function that matters to everything else we do
  • Private medical insurance
  • Free meals

  • Develop security policies and awareness programs
  • Automate manual processes with engineering team
  • Conduct security audits and manage questionnaires
  • Collaborate with CTO on IT strategy

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of IT and security experience
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Hands-on approach to IT operations
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams
