The Tyn‑y‑Coed hotel is nestled in the heart of North Wales and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. It offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable accommodation, and delicious food and drink.

About The Role

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Deputy Hotel Manager to join the team at Hotel Tyn y Coed, supporting the Hotel Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences within a unique Zip World setting. This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality, enjoys leading from the front, and is comfortable taking responsibility for the operation when required. You’ll play a key role in leading the hotel’s management structure and supporting departmental success.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Hotel Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the hotel
  • Acting as Duty Manager, taking ownership of operations, guest experience, and decision‑making
  • Providing direct line management to the Bar Manager, Head Housekeeper, and Front of House Supervisor
  • Supporting departmental leaders with training, performance management, rotas, and development
  • Leading teams across Front of House, Housekeeping, and Bar/F&B to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Ensuring consistently high standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and presentation
  • Managing guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team development
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, fire safety, and company procedures

What will you need?

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality or accommodation
  • A confident people leader with experience managing or supporting department heads
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest‑focused in a fast‑paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods
