The Tyn-y-Coed hotel is nestled in the heart of North Wales and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. It offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable accommodation, and delicious food and drink.

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and energetic Bar Manager to lead the bar operation at Hotel Tyn y Coed. This is a hands‐on role, perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the bar, leading night‐time service, and running a tight, well‐organised operation. You’ll take ownership of bar standards, team leadership, stock, and cash handling, while creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the day‐to‐day and evening operation of the hotel bar
  • Working hands‐on behind the bar during service, especially on busy nights
  • Leading the bar team on shift, allocating duties and maintaining service standards
  • Opening and closing the bar, including cashing up and end‐of‐day procedures
  • Managing stock ordering, deliveries, stock takes, and waste control
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, Challenge 25, and Health & Safety
  • Handling guest feedback professionally and positively
  • Working closely with hotel management to support the overall guest experience

What will you need?

  • Previous bar supervisory or management experience
  • Confident leading night‐time service and busy periods
  • Strong knowledge of licensing requirements and cash handling procedures
  • A positive, approachable, and organised leadership style
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading time.
