The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This position can be located anywhere within the Northern European Region including but not limited to Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. This role is a home-based office and travel is primarily within Northern Europe, with occasional other international travel to attend external and internal meetings and conferences. Business travel is approximately 50% of work time, dependent on location of home-based office.

Position Summary

Responsible for the selling and marketing activities in the designated area. The Country Manager’s main responsibility is to grow, develop, and implement sales and account strategies to achieve sales growth and profitability within the Northern European Regions (including, but not limited to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland) across all species of livestock.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a coordinated strategic approach in key markets with support of Marketing and Research & Nutritional Services.
  • Grow sales through enhanced customer relationships and technical knowledge about products within the supported industry.
  • Achieve sales goals and objectives within the established budget.
  • Promote Zinpro products and offer technical sales support to current / potential customers and key influencers to develop strong long-term customer relations.
  • Fully support and grow the service and support to customers within identified species and priorities.
  • Identify new product and market opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or related field.
  • Five or more years of related experience in livestock supply business.
  • Expertise in nutrition, preferably across animal species.
  • Experience managing a network of customers and supporting their needs.
  • Experience in technical sales and marketing activities in the animal nutrition and production industries.
  • Extensive experience and judgment required to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of technical and practical tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Experience and understanding of mid-sized company culture and desire to work in the setting.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and using the Internet.
  • Ability to present and communicate complex technical knowledge.
  • Fluent in English; reading, writing, speaking.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals within an organization at all levels internally and externally.

Preferred:

  • MSc in Animal Nutrition, or Veterinary degree preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in Danish.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The work environment consists of multiple different environments: standard office, long periods in a motor vehicle, farms, animal producers, manufacturing facilities, and/or at client/customers facilities. Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Schedule Requirements

This position is expected to work within core business hours and requires participation in after-hours and weekend calls, customer/client events & meetings, and industry events.

Travel Requirements

Expected to travel as needed, according to company standards. Required travel is primarily within Northern Europe, but will include occasional other international travel to attend external and internal meetings and conferences. Business travel is approximately 50% of work time, dependent on location of home-based office.
