Application Deadline: 7 November 2025
Department: Marketing – Campaigns, Comms & Content
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Zinc – London
Compensation: £64,000 – £70,000 / year
Description
We’re looking for a Senior Paid Search Manager to take full ownership of Zinc’s paid search strategy and execution — across Google and Microsoft Ads, alongside the remaining Google Suite: particularly YouTube and Display.
You’ll be the in-house expert on performance marketing. Planning, running and optimising high-impact campaigns that drive real pipeline, improve ROAS, and expand Zinc’s reach.
You’ll be a part of the Growth team, working closely with the Head of Marketing and Growth Lead to bring a data-driven mindset and an experimental edge to every campaign. You’ll test relentlessly, push for better insights, and stay ahead of every platform change and industry trend.
Key Responsibilities
- Run and optimise paid advertising campaigns across PPC, Display, and YouTube.
- Plan, build, and scale paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
- Lead A/B testing across ad copy, landing pages, and audiences to sharpen Zinc’s paid strategy.
- Spot performance gaps and implement new initiatives to improve results.
- Monitor and analyse data from GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console, translating insights into clear, actionable reports.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the wider marketing and revenue teams to deliver integrated campaigns and report back on performance and insights.
- Manage budgets efficiently, ensuring every pound drives measurable value.
- Stay ahead of the curve on all platform and feature changes, privacy updates, server-side tracking, and first-party data strategies.
- Contribute strategically to Zinc’s overall growth roadmap — with paid search as your domain.
(Bonus if you can also contribute to technical SEO improvements and backlink building where possible.)
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience in Paid Search (Google & Microsoft Ads).
- B2B experience is essential — you understand pipeline generation, longer funnels and LTV metrics.
- Strong analytical mindset: you love digging into data to find what moves the needle.
- Creative brain and a strong communicator — we’re looking for someone who doesn’t just execute campaigns, but wants to share learnings and experiment.
- Proven success in managing significant budgets and improving ROAS.
- Hands‑on experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
- Confident managing campaigns end‑to‑end — from strategy to execution to reporting.
- Agency background transitioning in‑house? Perfect.
Bonus: wider marketing experience beyond PPC (Paid social, CRO, or SEO).
Who You Are
You’re curious, ambitious, and endlessly analytical. You love data, testing, and tinkering until you find the lever that works. You’re passionate about performance marketing and constantly learning — from webinars, industry updates, or your own experiments. You’re a confident communicator and feel comfortable taking complex insights and presenting them back to the wider business in a digestible way.
Most importantly, you’re excited to help a fast‑growing B2B startup scale through smart, creative, measurable paid search.
