This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-growing team driving Zinc’s mission to revolutionise background checking. With three years of consistent 2x year-on-year growth, you’ll play a key role in our continued success. We’re looking for a high-impact Strategic SDR to fuel our revenue growth by generating and qualifying pipeline with mid-market and enterprise clients.

Why This Role

This is a step up in complexity: you're moving beyond transactional SDR work into strategic, multi-threaded selling, targeting upper mid-market accounts and expanding into small enterprise, where deals are bigger, buying groups are bigger, and the win matters more. You'll have a GTM engineer in-house building tooling and automation to make your outreach smarter, not just louder, plus a strong, tight-knit team around you to learn from and push you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own outbound strategy across our upper mid-market and small enterprise segments: cold calls, cold emails, and smart LinkedIn engagement that actually cuts through.
  • Go deep on target accounts, map complex buying groups, and tailor outreach that lands with senior stakeholders.
  • Qualify leads and drive deal progression shoulder-to-shoulder with our AEs. You're not just booking meetings, you're shaping the pipeline.
  • Partner with Marketing & Partnerships on campaigns and events that give you real air cover.
  • Work data-first: use Hubspot, Outreach, and our in-house GTM engineering support to build smarter sequences, sharper targeting, and a pipeline that compounds.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 3+ years in outbound SDR roles (B2B SaaS or similar), with proven success targeting senior stakeholders inside complex organisations.
  • Comfortable operating MEDPIC, Outreach, Hubspot, and Sales Navigator.
  • Sharp writing, confident calling, strong commercial instincts, and the coachability to keep getting better.
  • We care more about potential and attitude than pedigree. We hire across multiple SDR levels and level you up through a structured interview and scoring process.

What we offer

  • Uncapped Commission
  • 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays + your birthday off
  • £1200 annual benefits allowance (ThanksBen, from month 2)
  • Early finish Fridays (16:00)
  • Yearly company retreat abroad
  • 30 days to Work from anywhere
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption Leave (13 weeks full pay, 17 weeks half pay, then SMP for maternity, 1 month full pay for paternity/adoption)
  • Statutory pension with NEST (3% employer, 5% employee)
  • Zinc shares, issued through the EMI Scheme
  • Unlimited access to Spill Therapy
  • Company socials, quarterly team socials
  • Free Monday lunches
  • Nursery workplace benefit scheme (Yellownest)
  • Option to lease an electric car through Electric Car Scheme
  • Celebrated Zinc anniversaries
