Zinc is building the infrastructure that makes hiring faster, fairer, and more transparent. We are the UK's leading background screening and compliance platform, and as the government's digital identity agenda accelerates, this work is becoming one of the most consequential things we do. The UK digital verification services trust framework sits at the heart of what Zinc does, and we are hiring the person who will own our DVS register position. Not support it. Not consult on it. Own it end to end, drive Zinc's certification programme forward, and take on every public sector framework that comes next. Beyond DVS, Zinc operates across a growing set of public sector frameworks and data-sharing arrangements. From G-Cloud and procurement frameworks to DVLA integration and the Information Gateway under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, the Frameworks Manager will build and own a portfolio that reflects the full scope of Zinc's regulatory position in the market. But this all starts with the DVS trust framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Zinc's DVS trust framework certification programme end to end, including full audit responsibility across all certification cycles and maintaining Zinc's DVS register status.
- Lead preparation, documentation, and liaison with the certification body throughout each audit.
- Monitor DVS trust framework and DCDQ 1.0 requirements and all regulatory changes, assessing their impact on Zinc's compliance position.
- Act as the liaison between Legal & Compliance and engineering, ensuring compliance requirements are understood and addressed without prescribing how solutions are built.
- Take ownership of Zinc’s entry into new frameworks and data integrations as opportunities to do so emerge.
- Manage Zinc's compliance obligations under the Information Gateway (Data (Use and Access) Act 2025), which will enable Zinc to access public authority data.
- Oversee compliance requirements for Zinc's integrations with other UKGOV data sources.
- Maintain Zinc's compliance position on G-Cloud and other public sector procurement frameworks.
- Build and maintain Zinc’s internal compliance knowledge base so the business is not starting from scratch each cycle.
- Support sales and account management with trust framework queries from clients and prospects.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Hands-on DVS trust framework certification or audit experience. This is the primary signal.
- Deep working knowledge of the DVS trust framework, DCDQ 1.0 and DVS register requirements.
- Solid grounding in Identity Proofing and Verification (IPV) standards.
- The ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for engineering and operational teams.
- A structured, precise way of working: you surface problems with clarity and know when to escalate versus when to let the business make an informed call.
- Commercial adaptability: Zinc moves fast and decisions do not always wait for certainty.
Bonus Points For:
- Background in or familiarity with the broader background screening and identity verification landscape.
- Experience across multiple frameworks beyond UK DIATF and the DVS trust framework.
