Zinc's marketing function is growing and we're looking for an experienced Head of Demand Generation to take us to the next level. Our vision is to move demand marketing from a channel-led function into a data-informed, 360 growth engine, building and designing a repeatable playbook for demand generation & capture across every channel and every audience. This is a new senior leadership role within the marketing function, and a rare opportunity to build and shape how Zinc scales to beyond £50m ARR, into new audiences.

You'll be responsible for building and scaling the full-funnel demand generation playbook, working closely with the outbound team, wider commercial leadership and the marketing leadership team. We're looking for a leader who can inspire, motivate and develop a team and curate demand programmes across multiple channels and multiple regions, bringing playbooks and processes to continue Zinc's growth trajectory. You'll have a mandate to look at how we measure, activate and engage buyers across the full funnel, from first signal to closed won and have a strong view on what best-in-class demand generation and capture looks like in 2026 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scalability and infrastructure: Responsible for building and scaling the playbook for growing pipeline at Zinc, the demand generation tech stack, reporting and attribution model across HubSpot and DreamData, bringing rigour to what's actually driving qualified pipeline vs what's just noise.
  • Pipeline ownership: Responsible for building and scaling the demand generation engine end to end, with direct accountability for pipeline targets, account signals, and lead generation targets, working the full funnel from first touch to sales handoff.
  • Demand Generation: Building original demand generation programmes to inform prospects about the problems Zinc solves, capture their interest, and convert them into a place where when they're in-market, they think of us.
  • Demand Capture: Work with channel specialists in paid media, events, search and digital acquisition, supporting them in setting budget, targeting and channel mix to capture demand and hit pipeline goals efficiently.
  • Audience Understanding: Understand which levers to pull to reach our ICP across mid-market and Enterprise customers, and build strategic relationships with partners and suppliers.
  • Team leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing demand generation and field marketing team, driving the agenda forward at exec level, advocating for budgets, resource and campaigns.
  • Cross-functional partnerships: Work with senior commercial and marketing leadership to set campaign targets, align stakeholders, and deliver world-class B2B marketing campaigns across on and offline channels.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Significant experience leading demand generation at a B2B SaaS company with roughly £40m–£60m ARR, with a track record of owning and growing a marketing-sourced pipeline number, plus extensive experience working with SDR and outbound teams.
  • A forward-thinking leader: confident enabling their team to think big picture on demand generation practices for 2026 and beyond, able to translate emerging trends into a best-in-class strategy for Zinc.
  • Genuinely data-informed: confident using HubSpot, DreamData and GA4 to show what's working, not just what shipped — ruthless about the metrics that drive pipeline, comfortable in the weeds of CPC, CPM, CTR with channel specialists.
  • Full-funnel channel fluency: paid media, ABM, paid search, email, webinars and events, with a clear view of how each contributes to pipeline.
  • Has owned a demand budget line and pitched for one with senior leadership.
  • Direct experience understanding how creative impacts channel performance, and how to report on that to senior marketing and Commercial leadership.
  • Proven ability to build or scale a team of channel owners and specialists, including hiring and developing direct reports — able to set strategy and coach, while staying hands-on with campaigns when it matters.
  • Experience integrating with a wider marketing leadership team, including Brand/Content peers, so messaging and demand generation pull in the same direction.
  • Excellent stakeholder management; able to operate autonomously and bring structure to ambiguity.
