You’ll be joining the Operations team and have a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience from different commercial business areas directly from key leaders in the business in a scaling start-up. This role will give you invaluable exposure to different core areas of a business where you’ll be able to collaborate on different projects with various departments, supporting our Operations Analysts to amplify the core Operational tasks. Additionally, as part of the Ops Associate Rotational Programme, you’ll rotate through one of four departments — Marketing, Operations, Customer, and Revenue — each quarter, spending 30% of your time on a dedicated project to build cross‑functional skills and business insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn all about background checking and the Zinc platform.
  • Get to know the team, learn about how the office runs, and how our team utilises AI to build automations and increase efficiency across the business.
  • Support team leads to remove friction within their teams and processes.
  • Hands-on work, invoicing customers and reconciling payments in spreadsheets and learning about tools and systems.
  • Gradually take on operations admin so the business runs like clockwork.

At 6 months

  • Be a champion of speed and efficiency at Zinc.
  • Take ownership of problem‑solving projects across the whole organisation.
  • Continually identify and solve bottlenecks in company processes.
  • Work with senior leadership across the company moving initiatives that will drive future growth of the company.

After 1 year+

You will have had a generalist overview of almost every team in the business!

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise You Have

  • Strong Problem‑Solving Skills: You will need to solve problems effectively, which will help in removing friction and amplify the work of the team.
  • Spreadsheets Knowledge: You will have to manage lots of spreadsheets in this role so will feel comfortable having used some form of spreadsheets.
  • Data‑Driven Thinking: You will need to be able to be data‑driven to work well & communicate cross functionally with function leads.
  • Tech Savvy: Happy working with technology, always seeking ways to automate processes and improve efficiency. You understand how to leverage tools like Claude or ChatGPT and AI‑driven solutions effectively.
