About Zinc Network
For over fifteen years, Zinc Network has been helping governments and businesses navigate the world's most complex challenges using communications, technology, and behavioural science. We work on some of the toughest briefs: protecting children online, strengthening democratic resilience, and championing purpose-driven technologies and organisations. Working in partnership with a global network of media outlets, communities, and influencers, we help clients understand complex issues, design and deliver behavioural interventions, create compelling campaigns, activate trusted grassroots networks, and evaluate impact. We're now building Kora — our AI-powered platform that systematises this expertise into scalable technology, enabling clients to work faster, more impactfully, and more cost-effectively.
About The Role
We are looking for a Romanian-speaking Motion Graphics Designer to join our team, helping to create work that makes a real difference on social issues. The Motion Graphics Designer will be a hands-on creative thinker and will take responsibility for developing and creating engaging, innovative animated content. Preferably based in London, you will be full of ideas about how to turn a brief into engaging and visually appealing motion graphics assets. You'll have excellent design skills, and will be as comfortable working with Adobe Creative Suite as you are with Canva. Ideally you'll also be willing and able to create other (non-motion) design assets as needed. You'll need to have a grasp of what creative content works well across social platforms. You'll be on top of the latest digital trends and developments, ensuring that your content is ahead of the game. Crucially, the way in which you interpret a brief must include standalone thinking for each of the platforms and placements so that content always feels native and unique to each channel and its audience. You will have experience of making a wide range of motion graphics and animated content from start to finish. You will speak native-speaker-level Romanian, you'll also need excellent spoken and written English.
What you'll be doing
- Developing standalone motion graphics content
- Generating ideas and creative concepts as part of wider campaign brainstorms within the internal project teams
- Ensuring that all content created is optimised for specific social channels, taking into account standard text spaces, safe zones, accessibility considerations etc
Requirements
- Creative skills required: Confident user of Adobe CC, excellent motion graphics skills and a strong portfolio of existing work, copywriting and video editing skills also desirable
- Social experience required: Experience of bringing campaigns to life across multiple digital platforms, an understanding of formats required for a range of social channels, including Telegram, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, keen awareness of current digital trends including both content and formatting, sound editorial judgement and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of your content
- Other experience required: Motivated self-starter, flexible and adaptable to change, Romanian language (native-speaker level) essential, comfortable developing content, presenting and communicating in English
This is a UK-based role (London preferred). Will also consider candidates based in the EU.
