Introducing Zinc Network

For over fifteen years, Zinc Network has been helping governments and businesses navigate the world's most complex challenges using communications, technology, and behavioural science. We work on some of the toughest briefs: protecting children online, strengthening democratic resilience, and championing purpose-driven technologies and organisations.

Working in partnership with a global network of media outlets, communities, and influencers, we help clients understand complex issues, design and deliver behavioural interventions, create compelling campaigns, activate trusted grassroots networks, and evaluate impact.

We're now building Kora – our AI-powered platform that systematises this expertise into scalable technology, enabling clients to work faster, more impactfully, and more cost-effectively. We're looking for people who want to operate at the intersection of geopolitics, security, and technological disruption, and who are committed to building a safer, more secure world.

Outline of the job

The PR Manager will lead and coordinate public relations activities across a portfolio of globally reaching projects, ensuring consistent, strategic, and culturally informed communications delivery. Working closely with local PR agencies in multiple countries, they will guide messaging, oversee campaign execution, and maintain high-quality standards across all markets. The role involves planning and managing PR budgets, providing strategic counsel on sensitive, high-stakes, or politically relevant communications, and ensuring that both global narratives and locally tailored approaches are effectively implemented to enhance visibility, reputation, and impact.

The PR Manager will be based in London, UK or will be able to commute to our office in Central London as and when necessary.

  • Oversee the planning and execution of PR strategies across multiple markets, ensuring that global narratives are clear while allowing for locally tailored messaging and campaign design where needed.
  • Identify, coordinate and oversee PR agencies in relevant target countries, providing clear briefs, guidance, and quality assurance on messaging, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop and manage PR budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and sign-off processes for agency work, content production, and campaign activities.
  • Maintain oversight of localised PR campaigns, ensuring cultural relevance, consistency of narrative, and adherence to overarching communications strategy.
  • Review and approve press materials, including press releases, briefing documents, op-eds, fact sheets, and talking points.
  • Monitor media performance across markets, tracking coverage, sentiment, and impact to inform reporting and optimisation.
  • Coordinate international media opportunities, including interviews, physical events, announcements, and cross-country press moments.
  • Ensure consistent message alignment across all territories, working closely with creative, content, and digital teams.
  • Prepare regular performance reports, synthesising insights and recommending improvements to strengthen PR outcomes globally.
  • Represent Zinc at high-level meetings with clients and project partners.

All while embodying the values of Zinc Network.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Public Relations, ideally within international or multi-market environments.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Global PR strategy and execution, including adapting narratives for culturally diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in or around sensitive, high-stakes, or politically complex environments, with proven judgement on reputational risk.
  • Strong track record managing and coordinating multiple PR agencies, freelancers, or country-level teams simultaneously.
  • Excellent media relations skills, including strong understanding of global media dynamics and how they differ across regions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft clear, compelling narratives across formats and markets.
  • Experience planning, managing, and reporting on PR budgets, with comfort overseeing spend across multiple countries.
