Introducing Zinc Network. For over fifteen years, Zinc Network has been helping governments and businesses navigate the world's most complex challenges using communications, technology, and behavioural science. We work on some of the toughest briefs: protecting children online, strengthening democratic resilience, and championing purpose-driven technologies and organisations. Working in partnership with a global network of media outlets, communities, and influencers, we help clients understand complex issues, design and deliver behavioural interventions, create compelling campaigns, activate trusted grassroots networks, and evaluate impact. We're now building Kora — our AI-powered platform that systematises this expertise into scalable technology, enabling clients to work faster, more impactfully, and more cost-effectively. We're looking for people who want to operate at the intersection of geopolitics, security, and technological disruption, and who are committed to building a safer, more secure world.
Outline of the job. We are looking for a Digital Insights Analyst to conduct online media monitoring and social media listening across Central and Eastern Europe, tracking trending narratives, audience reactions, and emerging topics within diverse political, cultural, and media environments. The role focuses on systematic monitoring, insight analysis, and the production of clear weekly summaries that help creative and communications teams understand regional dynamics and tailor messaging appropriately. The role is hybrid, with the successful candidate expected to be in our London office two days a week; however, a more remote working model may be considered for candidates with strong knowledge of CEE and language capabilities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Use Pulsar to conduct day-to-day social media listening and digital media monitoring across Central and Eastern Europe.
- Track trending narratives, emerging topics, and audience reactions across multiple platforms and markets.
- Build, maintain, and refine search queries, dashboards, and keyword sets to ensure accurate and consistent monitoring.
- Analyse conversation volume, engagement, and high-level sentiment to identify notable changes or spikes in activity.
- Produce clear, well-structured weekly insight summaries highlighting key developments, risks, and opportunities.
- Supplement paid tools with free and native platform tools to validate trends and deepen contextual understanding.
- Flag emerging issues or reputational risks and escalate them appropriately.
- Work closely with communications and creative teams to ensure insights are relevant, timely, and usable.
Requirements. What we need from you…
- Proven experience in digital media monitoring, social listening, or media analysis, ideally in a communications, insights, or agency environment.
- Interest in regional politics, culture, media, or digital trends in CEE.
- Understanding of hostile state influence and understanding of Eastern and Central.
- Hands-on experience using Pulsar for social listening and trend analysis, with the ability to build and refine searches and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and online news ecosystems, particularly across Central and Eastern Europe.
- Ability to interpret data and conversation patterns and translate them into clear, concise written summaries.
- Demonstrated experience conducting digital insight analysis across multiple languages using monitoring and research tools is required; specific language proficiency in Central and Eastern European languages is an advantage, but not essential.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage ongoing monitoring and weekly reporting.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with creative strategists.
- Excellent writing skills, including written reports in Word and presentations in PowerPoint.
- SC security clearance preferred.
Area of Selection. We’re committed to hiring a diverse workforce from different professional and cultural backgrounds, and to that end we encourage a variety of people to apply to join our company to represent the diverse range of subjects associated with our projects.
Conditions of Employment. Candidates who receive a job offer will be required to:
- Disclose any previous disciplinary action against them resulting from a substantiated safeguarding (including any breaches involving trafficking-related activities) or workplace investigation.
- Undergo background checks including employment verification, sexual offender registry (as available), identity confirmation, and anti-terrorism vetting.
How to apply. Please include a cover letter stating how you meet each of the requirements. If you require an accommodation to be made at any point throughout the recruitment process, please advise us when contacted.
