What You Can Expect

  • Assist in the planning, execution and reconciliation of logistic organization of events whether virtual, physical, or hybrid, sales & marketing meetings and congresses.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of Events environment together with the skills and industry knowledge required to organize an event from A to Z.
  • Prepare events budgets, conduct research and analyze post-course activities.
  • Support the design, facilitation and the implementation of education experiences for health care professionals.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Organisation of, and participation in, the development of meeting goals & objectives under the MedTech Europe guidelines and Zimmer Biomet Corporate Compliance program.
  • Assist in planning for events and booth development for congresses.
  • Preparation of budgets (preliminary, working and final meeting budgets).
  • Contract negotiations with hotels, conference centers, destination management companies, production companies, transportation companies, and other miscellaneous vendors.
  • Manage technology vendor interaction for digital events deployment; serves as the liaison between the customer, sales, marketing, medical education and the vendor to ensure that expectations are being met.
  • On-site execution focused on the Customer Experience.
  • Ensure outcome of the meetings, as well as corporate events and congresses, align to Corporate Goals & Objectives.
  • Develop event materials, manage food & beverage (F&B), Time & Events schedules (T&E), Arrival & Departures manifests (A&D manifests), Banquet & Event Orders (BEOs), housing lists and confirmation notices, HCPs process related requirements both internal and external.
  • Effectively interface with a diverse group of internal and external personnel to include senior management, distributors, sales associates, customers, travel office and vendors.
  • Manage post-event duties including invoice reconciliation, charge backs and expense analysis.
  • Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports.
  • Work directly with surgeon educators, delegates, and the EMEA and local Marketing team to deliver the plan.
  • Assistance with the administration of the Engagement Order process in Medispend system and financials with Uptempo system.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all participants are selected, approved and registered through MS Teams and CVENT for all events.
  • Conduct accurate learning needs analysis to ensure appropriateness of instructional materials.
  • Assist in assessing the instructional effectiveness of course formats and materials that are produced.
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with various project collaborators and subject matter experts to ensure that goals and objectives are being fulfilled.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and influence all Zimmer Biomet customers, both internal and external across UK, Ireland, Benelux & Nordics.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Must be enterprising, diplomatic, and proactive at solving problems.
  • Documented successful track record in an education management role.
  • Knowledge of business base, including hips, knees, extremities, F&A, Sports, Robotics and Trauma is an advantage.

Your Background

  • Degree in commercial education or commercial apprenticeship preferably in the meeting and congress industry or other commercial industry or similar or other non-US equivalent certification.
  • 3-5 years’ experience meeting and congress planning industry. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
