About the role
The Product Manager in this role will be responsible for managing Day 2 requirements, driving client change requests, and delivering product insights that inform the future development of our core transfer agency platform. This role requires a deep understanding of transfer agency operations, the ability to collaborate with clients, and the expertise to identify and address gaps in between our product and client needs. You will be responsible for conducting client workshops, gathering feedback, and researching new market opportunities to ensure that the product evolves with client needs and regional requirements. Please note that this role will require attendance at our London office 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Day 2 Requirements: Oversee the ongoing product evolution post-launch, addressing client feedback, operational issues, and enhancing platform capabilities.
- Client Change Requests: Work closely with clients to capture and prioritize change requests and enhancements based on business needs, ensuring that product improvements align with client expectations and compliance standards.
- Product Insights & Research: Conduct thorough investigations and market research to identify opportunities for expanding into new regions or improving the platform’s functionality. Provide actionable insights that inform product direction.
- Client Workshops: Organize and facilitate client workshops to understand product gaps and identify improvement areas. Collect and analyze feedback to develop product enhancement plans.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Develop clear, concise product specifications and user stories based on client feedback and research, ensuring all requirements are documented and understood by cross-functional teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, operations, compliance) to ensure product changes and enhancements meet client needs and market expectations.
- Maintain Product Roadmap: Regularly update the product roadmap to reflect Day 2 enhancements, client-driven changes, and insights from market research and client workshops.
- Market & Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about regulatory changes and trends in the transfer agency space, ensuring that the product aligns with current and future industry requirements.
- Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and acting as the voice of the customer within the product team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of transfer agency operations, with a strong understanding of the operational lifecycle and industry-specific challenges.
- Proven experience in managing product changes and enhancements, particularly in a client-facing role.
- Experience conducting market research, competitor analysis, and investigating opportunities for product expansion into new regions.
- Strong understanding of client engagement and ability to conduct effective workshops to gather feedback and align product requirements.
- Ability to translate client feedback and market research into clear product requirements and development roadmaps.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and internal teams.
- A collaborative mindset, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in the financial services or technology sector, particularly within the transfer agency space.
- Knowledge of European regulatory environments related to transfer agency services is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Experience with product management tools and frameworks.
- A background in client relationship management or consultancy, particularly in financial technology solutions.
