Who we are: We're one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech companies – on a mission to create the world's most empowering way to pay. We launched the product in 2020 and achieved double unicorn status, valued at $2 billion, and since then have taken on more than 6 million customers. Our mission is to become the best way to pay for anything, anywhere and say goodbye to credit costs for everyone. This is huge. Want to join us?

About the role: We’re looking for a UX copywriter to join our copy team and help bring the Zilch brand to life across every digital customer touchpoint. Your primary focus will be partnering with Product Design to create clear and intuitive experiences across our app and website. Working closely with product designers, product managers and engineers, you'll contribute to creating customer journeys from discovery through to launch. You'll also collaborate with teams across the business, including Marketing, Customer Support and Operations, providing specialist copy support wherever it's needed – from SEO content and help articles to customer communications and product launches. This isn't just about writing functional copy. It's about creating experiences customers understand, trust and enjoy. You'll know when to keep things simple, when to inject personality and how to bring the Zilch tone of voice to life in even the smallest moments.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Design to create clear, engaging copy across the app and website, from new features to end‑to‑end customer journeys.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers throughout the product development process, from discovery through to launch.
  • Write and optimise customer‑facing content across digital touchpoints, including help articles, FAQs, SEO content and operational communications.
  • Balance customer needs, business goals and regulatory requirements to create content that's clear, helpful and compliant.
  • Use customer insight, data and testing to improve the content and customer journeys.
  • Champion accessibility, consistency and best practice in UX writing and content design.
  • Support wider business priorities with copy for product launches, campaigns and new initiatives when needed.

What we’re looking for:

  • You're a brilliant writer with experience creating content for digital products. Whether you've called yourself a UX Writer, Content Designer or Copywriter, you know how to use words to solve problems.
  • You can switch effectively between product thinking and brand thinking.
  • You know that the best digital experiences don't happen by accident. You're curious, ask the right questions and enjoy getting to the root of a problem before putting pen to paper.
  • You care about craft. Every word has a purpose, every interaction has intent and you're never afraid to rewrite something until it feels just right.
  • You understand our tone of voice and apply it consistently across customer communications, recognising how a brand comes to life through product.
  • You're a natural collaborator who enjoys bouncing ideas around with designers, product managers, marketers and developers.
  • You're comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve, and you enjoy the variety that comes with it.
  • Experience with Figma is important. Experience writing for SEO or in a regulated industry would be a bonus.

Benefits:

  • Compensation & Savings: Pension scheme. Death in Service scheme. Income Protection. Permanent employees enjoy access to our Share Options Scheme. 5% back on in‑app purchases. £200 for WFH Setup.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Private Medical Insurance including; GP consultations (video, telephone or face‑to‑face). Prescribed medication. In‑patient, day‑patient and out‑patient care.
