We are looking for a technically strong Senior Finance Manager to join our Finance team. This is a key role for someone with deep IFRS expertise who can operate confidently across technical accounting, statutory reporting, audit and regulatory reporting in a fast-paced fintech environment.
This role is not just about reporting delivery. We need someone who can apply sound accounting judgement, prepare high-quality technical accounting memos, and clearly bridge commercial context, business activity and accounting conclusions. The successful candidate will be a key technical lead within a lean team, helping to strengthen the quality, accuracy and control of our external reporting.
The role will play an important part in the preparation of statutory financial statements, supporting the audit process, owning key technical accounting workstreams, and partnering across Finance, Legal and the wider business on new products, transactions and commercial arrangements.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and review of external financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
Technical Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review technical accounting papers and accounting memos on complex IFRS areas including: IFRS 2, IFRS 9, IAS 38, Consolidation.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with IFRS.
Internal Controls And Documentation
- Evaluate and improve internal controls over financial reporting.
- Develop and document internal control procedures.
- Ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures.
Month-End Preparation
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Provide support for the month-end close process.
Ad-Hoc Projects
- Participate in various technical accounting projects as needed.
- Provide expertise for special projects and initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison with Strategic Finance, FP&A and Legal teams.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
What We’re Looking For...
- Strong audit background, beneficial to have FS experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, including experience of IFRS 2 & IFRS 9.
- Ability to read and interpret accounting standards, regulatory guidelines, and legislation.
- Experience exploring technical accounting matters and drafting technical papers.
