About the role. We are looking for a Senior Finance Analytics Manager to join a lean, high-performing Finance Data team. This is a senior individual contributor role — and potential people manager — for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance, data engineering, and business insight. You’ll bring deep expertise in financial data modelling, reporting infrastructure, and analytics, and be equally comfortable engaging with technical teams and senior finance stakeholders. The right person is intellectually curious, highly organised, and energised by turning complex financial data into reliable, scalable systems. This is a high-ownership role inside a team that delivers at pace and has direct impact on how the business operates. You’ll work on interesting, complex problems across finance and data, with genuine scope to shape the function as we grow. We move fast, invest in our people, and care about doing things properly.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Finance Data & Reporting: Design and maintain financial reporting pipelines, reconciliation frameworks, and data models that ensure accurate, timely outputs, translating complex accounting treatments into scalable, well-documented data solutions in close collaboration with Finance teams.
- Analytics & Business Insight: Build and govern key financial and operational KPIs, establishing reliable single sources of truth across the business, and develop analytical frameworks that support strategic decision-making, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
- Automation & Infrastructure: Drive an automation roadmap that reduces manual processes and scales with business growth, designing monitoring, alerting, and data quality controls that strengthen the overall control environment.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to embed finance data requirements into delivery from the outset, and document data ownership and processes clearly to build resilience and reduce single points of failure across the team.
What we're looking for...
- Experience: Ideally, 7+ years in Finance Data, Financial Reporting, Analytics, or a related data-focused role within financial services or fintech.
- Coding & Data Modelling: Strong SQL skills and experience building and maintaining data models in a modern cloud data warehouse (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks).
- Finance Expertise: Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, with the ability to implement finance logic accurately in data systems.
- Automation & Infrastructure: Proven track record delivering automation and data infrastructure improvements that have measurable business impact.
- Cross-Functional Working: Experience working with Engineering and Product teams in an Agile environment.
- Controls & Quality: Strong grasp of data reconciliation, data quality, and financial controls best practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence at senior levels and bridge technical and finance disciplines.
- Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving.
Bonus skills:
- Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar data transformation and orchestration tooling.
- Familiarity with regulatory or compliance reporting in a regulated financial services environment.
About you. You take ownership. You see a problem and you fix it — without waiting to be asked. You're fluent in both finance and data. You can sit in a room with an auditor and a data engineer and add value to both conversations. You're rigorous. In a fast-moving environment, you're the person who asks the right questions and makes sure the numbers are right. You're a builder. You get satisfaction from creating infrastructure and processes that others can rely on. You communicate clearly. You can explain complex data problems to non-technical audiences without losing nuance.
Benefits:
- Compensation & Savings: Pension scheme, Death in Service scheme, Income Protection, Permanent employees enjoy access to our Share Options Scheme, 5% back on in-app purchases, £200 for WFH Setup.
- Health & Wellbeing: Private Medical Insurance including GP consultations (video, telephone or face-to-face), Prescribed medication, In-patient, day-patient and out-patient care, Mental health support, Optical, dental & audiological cover, Physiotherapy, Advanced cancer cover, Menopause support, Employee Assistance Programme including unlimited mental health sessions, 24/7 remote GP & physiotherapy, 24/7 helpline for emotional & practical support, Savings & discounts on everyday shopping, 1:1 personalised well-being consultations, Gym membership discounts.
