Join ZigZag Education as a teaching resource developer for our new Applied Animal and Agriculture Qualifications (AAQ). You will create engaging, high‑quality materials that support teachers and learners in secondary schools and FE colleges.

Responsibilities

You will focus on the content development of educational resources for the AAQ qualifications. Your tasks include creating, reviewing, and refining teaching materials, collaborating with subject specialists, and ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching the new AAQ qualifications or similar vocational qualifications.
  • Detailed, wide‑range knowledge of Applied Science.
  • A creative flair for making complex concepts into clear, accessible and engaging content.
  • Excellent written communication, ability to adapt through feedback, and teaching experience in secondary or further education (Applied Science or related subjects), ideally with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A strong interest in the subject area with up‑to‑date knowledge of recent developments, backed up by an excellent academic record.
  • Strong research and analysis skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, and to communicate ideas and knowledge with clarity.
  • Ability to write in a creative, yet clear and coherent style; 2:1 or higher in a science degree.
  • An A in at least one science A‑Level plus two other A‑Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.
  • GCSE English at Grade C/5 or above.
