In this influential role within our HR Leadership Team, you will oversee a dedicated team of complex case advisors, providing expert advice on complex people management issues and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your strategic insights and proactive approach will be instrumental in enhancing our operational efficiencies and upskilling managers across the organization.
You will lead by example in managing high-volume colleague relations cases, from disciplinary matters to grievance resolutions, ensuring compliance with employment law and promoting best practices. Your ability to navigate sensitive issues with empathy and discretion will define your success in this dynamic role.

Salary – c£50,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus company car/ car allowance.

About you
• You have extensive experience managing high-volume, complex colleague relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance issues.
• You’ve led and developed a team, delivering a high-quality advisory service that supports and upskills line managers across the business.
• You’re confident coaching and influencing stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships to drive effective people outcomes.
• You have practical experience handling ACAS conciliations and managing employment tribunal cases, including preparing bundles and supporting hearings.
• You apply sound judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive or high-risk situations, maintaining professionalism and compliance throughout.
• You have strong attention to detail and ensure all advice, documentation, and casework align with legal requirements and best practice.
• You’ve led or contributed to consultation activity (both individual and collective), and you’re comfortable engaging with trade unions or works councils.
• You bring a continuous improvement mindset, using data and trend analysis to identify areas of risk, influence priorities, and improve processes.
• You’re experienced in implementing policy changes, supporting HR systems (such as case management tools), and building scalable resources for line manager self-service.
