We are seeking talented individuals that are excellent in their field of expertise and are posed with all potential and skills necessary to help us meet future business challenges. We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst to join ZIGUP on a 12-month fixed-term basis, supporting our Senior BI & Reporting Analysts and wider technical BI development team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in Business Intelligence, reporting and data analytics.

You’ll provide first-line support for reporting and dashboard queries, help develop new reports and dashboards, and support the delivery and continuous improvement of BI solutions across the business. Working closely with experienced members of the team, you’ll build your knowledge of data, technology and BI methodologies while gaining valuable exposure to the full end-to-end reporting and development lifecycle. You’ll also develop an understanding of data governance and the important role high-quality data plays in supporting business decisions. You’ll build strong relationships with colleagues across the business and, where required, support Northgate customers with reporting-related queries.

This is a varied role where you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experienced BI professionals, contribute to meaningful projects and develop your technical and analytical skills in a supportive environment.

About You:

  • You have a relevant academic qualification or at least one year’s experience working in a reporting or data analyst role.
  • You have a genuine interest in data, technology and Business Intelligence methodologies and are keen to develop your knowledge and technical skills.
  • You have some experience using databases and an appreciation of how effective use of data can support organisations and business decision-making.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable participating in meetings and communicating with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • You’re able to manage inbound queries, coordinate the resolution of issues and keep tasks progressing within agreed timescales.
  • You’re organised and able to work through allocated tasks, manage your workload and prioritise effectively.
  • You’re a team player who enjoys collaborating with others and learning from more experienced colleagues.
  • You’re confident building and maintaining relationships across the business.
  • You’re comfortable working in a dynamic environment and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • You’re a self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Some experience delivering structured BI and reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of at least one business domain, such as Finance, HR or Sales.
  • Experience working within a business-to-business organisation.
  • Previous reporting experience.
  • Some experience working within a similar industry.
