We’re a friendly, growing chartered accountancy firm looking for a full or part time bookkeeper who wants variety and responsibility. You’ll get involved in:
- Assisting with the bookkeeping for our clients on a timely basis. This work can range from just processing purchase invoices and reconciling the bank, to the whole role to include paying invoices and possibly salaries on behalf of the client.
- VAT Returns
- Quarterly MTD Returns - we are happy to provide training for this
- Providing our clients who do their own bookkeeping with QuickBooks or Xero support which might be queries over the phone or giving them initial training on their chosen software.
You’ll be/have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ bookkeeping experience
- Prepared to be a team member - supporting colleagues especially when deadlines are involved.
- Familiar with using Excel, QuickBooks and/or Xero.
- Confident reconciling the bank accounts and filing VAT Returns
- Confident reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Happy to deal with clients directly
This is an office-based role in the centre of Bath, within a small, supportive friendly team. You might occasionally be asked to work off-site at a client’s premises so a driving licence and car is essential. We are happy to consider full or part time applicants, salary dependant on experience.
