We are seeking a Content Syndication Manager to join the Global Partners team at Ziff Davis, a vertically focused digital media and internet company. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple divisions of Ziff Davis and its entire portfolio of highly recognizable media publishing brands, including IGN, CNET, Mashable, PCMag, Lifehacker, ZDNET, Everyday Health, BabyCenter and many more. Reporting to the SVP, Global Partners at Ziff Davis (based in London), you will be pivotal to our mission to meet audiences wherever they are, working with stakeholders across our businesses to manage and optimize the way we distribute content to a wide range of syndication platform partners, with the goal of maximizing reach and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with our brands’ editorial and audience development teams to lead strategic, daily planning and positioning of content to resonate with mass‑market audiences of key distribution channels (e.g. Apple News, Microsoft/MSN, Yahoo/AOL, Google Discover).
- Working with Business Intelligence team to analyze data and identify trends and growth opportunities across our syndication program.
- Coordinating with commerce teams on a joined‑up strategy to maximize success of our shopping‑related content throughout the year and around key calendar events.
- Working with Global Partners engineering and all stakeholders on optimization and timing of content distribution feeds.
- Tracking and maintaining data, including executive dashboards to summarize success per platform, per brand, per month.
- Content coordination and success strategies with operators of international editions of key Ziff Davis brands.
Job Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience working with recognizable media publishing brands in a content‑related role including content creation/journalism and editing, and a content optimization, distribution and/or other audience development function.
- Clear understanding of best‑in‑class editorial standards and values.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage complex content calendars, workflows and cross‑functional projects, working under pressure or to a deadline.
- Expertise with multiple CMS platforms, analytics and other publishing tools.
- Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS; some familiarity with RSS/XML syndication feeds.
- Experience with affiliate commerce / shopping‑related content preferred.
- Experience working with US media brands/businesses; additional international work experience beyond US/UK preferred.
- Experience working with Generative AI tools.
- Passionate about relevant content topics and strong familiarity with Ziff Davis brands.
