CNET Group is looking for an experienced digital media sales Account Executive, based in Aldgate, London to play a key role in developing and growing accounts. We’re the company that owns CNET, Mashable, PCMag, LifeHacker, ExtremeTech, and ZDNET and other media properties with expertise across tech, entertainment, and retail categories. Clients like Microsoft, Google, Dell, Apple and other top Fortune 100 companies come to us because of our scale, reach, efficiency and performance.
Summary: As an Account Executive you will be focused on growing advertising revenue, with support from an organisation that is well established and growing. This isn’t just an Account Executive role we’re hiring for; we’re looking for you to build long-term relationships by taking a consultative approach to guiding your clients to execute thoughtful, full-funnel campaigns that include branded content, video, display, social, and affiliate commerce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to grow your portfolio and generate new revenue streams with agencies and clients direct.
- Account Management: Proactively manage existing accounts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service, timely solutions, and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Revenue Growth: Demonstrate a proven ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets, showcasing YOY growth.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, with excellent presentation skills and able to build and maintain strong relationships through emails, meetings and entertainment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as integrated marketing, content solutions, and operations to ensure the successful execution of campaigns and solutions.
- Reporting: Regularly update sales pipeline on Salesforce, track progress, and forecast future business to management.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 4+ years of digital media experience preferred and 2+ years of sales experience preferred.
- Agency-Focused: With a portfolio of established accounts with UK media agencies as well as a large portfolio of prospective clients. You’re able to provide a track record that shows YOY growth of your business.
- Proactive and Driven: You’re innovative and energetic, creating strategy, selling, meeting new people and winning new business.
- Collaboration: You enjoy collaborating with internal teams such as integrated marketing, content solutions, and operations to ensure the successful execution of campaigns and solutions.
- Communication Skills: Clients enjoy working with you, you’re concise and you deliver compelling solutions that solve their business needs, with the ability to present and negotiate at all levels.
