We are looking for an experienced
Road Freight Operator to join our Import Groupage operations team at London Gateway.
In this role, you will manage end-to-end European groupage services, coordinating freight movements nationally and internationally within a dedicated team of 23.
You will play a key role in maintaining smooth client operations, preparing paperwork, and driving high customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
As a Road Freight Operator, you will be required to perform the following as well as support the wider groupage operations team:
- Handle end-to-end movement of groupage freight across Europe.
- Manage the day-to-day operations for our clients.
- Maintain communication with customers, overseas partners, and internal teams.
- Book and track shipments, helping to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Being involved in the completion of all necessary documentation.
- Supporting continuous improvement of service levels and customer satisfaction.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in European road freight operations.
- A strong understanding of taxable kilos and the ability to manually calculate costs/charges.
- Experience with customs paperwork.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
