Are you a customer-focused logistics professional with a strong eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellent service? Do you enjoy managing shipments end to end while building strong client relationships? If so, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to join our Tamworth Sales team, where you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of existing customers and play a key role in delivering reliable, profitable road freight solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Acting as the main point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of customers
- Managing the full shipment lifecycle from booking through to final invoicing
- Coordinating with internal teams and external transport providers to ensure on-time collections and deliveries
- Providing proactive communication and operational updates to customers
- Ensuring supplier costs align with customer agreements to protect gross profit
- Completing and distributing all required transport and customs documentation
- Accurately inputting orders and shipment data into the Transport Management System (TMS)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in road freight or transport operations (sales support or operations role)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, particularly with data entry and costing
- Proactive, customer-focused mindset with a sense of ownership over accounts
- Team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a balanced workload
