A superb innovative team at this leading London law firm are looking to recruit a mid to senior level associate due to growth of their practice.
Truly unique, the focus of their work is advising clients using content in highly innovative ways, often some of the latest technologies. For example, acting for out of home entertainment businesses like virtual theatre, secret cinema and AR in the fashion sector. They also advise clients doing interactive advertising and design work and act for some of the top global visual effect studios and dedicated animation houses.
Lawyers in the team share a real passion for their work and the products of their client’s businesses. For them it’s more than just a job but crosses over between work and their personal interests.
Many of the team’s clients don’t have their own legal function and so their lawyers are much more than a gatekeeper but truly partnering with clients to understand their businesses and provide both commercial and legal advice.
There is no need to have had experience in interactive media / commercial work. What is key is a strong commercial /IP / IT background, a genuine interest in the work you will be doing and a willingness to work on a real range and variety of work. You’ll learn from some great lawyers, be inspired by the creativity of your clients and enjoy sharing their journeys. You will need to have a strong interest in building and developing your own client relationships, given the freedom to do so and pursue your own areas of interest within the work of the practice.
Lawyers who are working in house and previously worked in private practice and miss the variety and challenges of a law firm will happily be considered. This role is almost like an in house role within private practice because of the proximity you will gain to your clients businesses.
