Superb opening to join a very friendly and supportive six lawyer construction team at this highly collegiate and highly regarded medium sized London law firm. A busy and thriving team who sit within a substantial 20 lawyer plus real estate group.
Due to a growing workload, the firm have identified a need for a Senior Construction associate with at least 7 years PQE and extensive experience of contentious construction work including dispute advisory, ADR, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation dealing with a wide range of claims including final account and delay claims, quality of build claims, building safety claims and professional negligence claims. Ideally, you will also have experience with building safety claims in the FTT including remediation orders and remediation contribution orders.
Key responsibilities for the new recruit will include managing a varied caseload of contentious matters and dispute advisory work including ADR, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation. Also supervision, mentoring and developing junior team members.
The construction teams work covers both residential and commercial construction work. There is also a strong focus on teamwork, supporting each other and cross referrals with the firm’s other departments, particularly real estate and property litigation. Lawyers are given responsibility, autonomy and all the tools to grow and develop.
Currently, the team have a Consultant and former partner focused on contentious work, with no one else at Partner level specialising in this area, so there is a clear route through for an ambitious and committed individual. You will have the benefit of the support and mentoring of the Consultant who is vastly experienced and willing to give of his time to help and assist.
The firm are B Corp registered with the aim of constantly improving their purpose and people. They are one of very few law firms in the UK with B Corp certification, reflective of their values and culture.
Lawyers currently working in either regional or London law firms will be considered.
