Superb opportunity to join a very friendly and supportive six lawyer construction team at this highly collegiate and highly regarded City law firm. A busy and thriving team which sits within a substantial 20 lawyer plus real estate practice.
Key responsibilities for the new recruit will include managing a varied caseload of predominantly non-contentious and some contentious construction work. It’s imperative you have had excellent experience drafting and negotiating the full range of construction documentation including construction contracts, professional appointments, development agreements, construction aspects of agreements for lease, guarantees, bonds and collateral warranties.
Experience or an interest in Building Safety Fund and the Developer Remediation Contract is desirable but not essential. The construction team's work covers both residential and commercial construction work. Acting for contractors, developers, architects and high net worth individuals, day to day work is highly varied.
There is also a strong focus on teamwork, supporting each other and cross referrals with the firm’s other departments, particularly real estate and property litigation. Lawyers are given responsibility, autonomy and all the tools to grow and develop.
Due to a growing client base and work, the team are now keen to recruit a construction lawyer with between two to five years post qualification in construction law. The team are open to backgrounds and will consider lawyers who are considering a return to private practice from in-house, Australian and New Zealand qualified lawyers who have been practicing in the UK for at least 12 months and regional lawyers wanting to work for a London firm.
