Waking Night Residential Children & Young People’s Worker 📍 Hinckley, Leicestershire ✒️ Permanent and full time ⏹️ Contextual Safeguarding Home 💷 £26,142.40 – £29,463.72 + Night Shift Premium of 1/3 hourly rate (which can work out to be approx £8,000 per year) ⏰ 37 hours per week | 4 on, 4 off | 10pm – 8:15am ✨ Ready for a new challenge? We’re recruiting for a Waking Night Residential Children & Young People’s Worker to join our Contextual Safeguarding Home in Hinckley, where you will support children & young people aged between 8-18 facing risks around exploitation, by identifying and responding to harm and abuse posed to them outside of their home environment and understanding the importance of intervention. 🏡 About the Service One of the largest childrens charitys in England. The service will provide up to 3 service users at any one-time opportunities to enjoy different experiences, establish friendships and develop confidence, independence and social/emotional skills. 🔑 Your Role Build nurturing, trusting relationships that promote independence and wellbeing Work collaboratively with families and professionals Support day-to-day running of the home (cooking, cleaning, etc.) Accurately record and maintain essential documentation Follow safeguarding policies and procedures Promote a safe, supportive, and positive environment Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to ✅ What We’re Looking For Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle (essential) Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete) Experience with children/young people in care settings Flexibility to work shifts (including weekends/bank holidays) Strong communication skills 📈 Pay & Progression £26,142.40 – £29,463, including night enhancement (which can work out to be approx £8,000 per year) + annual progression opportunities based on performance.
