We're looking for an experienced Service Administrator to become the backbone of our specialist residential children's services across Leicestershire. This isn't your average office job! Every invoice processed, every record maintained and every new starter supported helps ensure vulnerable children, young people and families receive the high-quality care and support they deserve.
About the role: Based at our office in Coalville, you'll provide essential administrative and financial support across a number of residential children's homes located throughout Leicestershire. Working closely with managers and operational teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring services run efficiently, remain compliant and continue delivering exceptional care. This is an exciting, varied role where no two days are ever the same. Regular travel to our residential homes across Coalville, Hinckley, Syston, Mountsorrel, Braunstone and Market Harborough will be required.
What you'll be doing: As our Service Administrator you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
- Supporting budget monitoring and financial reporting
- Processing invoices, purchase orders and supplier payments
- Managing petty cash and company credit card reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial and administrative records
- Supporting recruitment administration, including DBS applications and onboarding
- Organising meetings and producing accurate minutes
- Maintaining confidential records in line with GDPR requirements
- Ordering office supplies and supporting facilities management
- Working closely with managers to keep services running efficiently
- Providing professional administrative support across multiple residential services
What we're looking for: We're looking for someone who enjoys being organised, takes pride in accuracy and loves solving problems. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within a busy administrative or office environment
- Experience using Microsoft Office, databases and financial systems
- Knowledge of budget monitoring, petty cash and invoice processing
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach and the confidence to work independently
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
- Experience supporting recruitment or HR administration would be advantageous
