Full-time | Permanent | Mountsorrel, Leicestershire | 3 week rolling rota | £31,380 - £38,811 + overtime opportunities
About the Role:
We’re launching a new and exciting service to support children and young people aged 8–18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs. This home will provide short breaks for up to 3 young people at a time, helping them build confidence, friendships, and life skills. This home will be your base, however, there will be times where you could be asked to cover shifts and support at our other homes such as Hinckley, Coalville & Syston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build nurturing, trusting relationships
- Partner with families and professionals
- Lead & support a team of Residential Support Workers
- Help with day-to-day tasks like cooking and cleaning
- Keep accurate records & reports
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed
- Maintain a safe, caring environment
What You’ll Need:
- Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or willing to complete)
- Experience working with children & young people
- At least 1 year in a senior/supervisory residential care role
- Strong understanding of safeguarding
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends & bank holidays
- Excellent communication & people skills
