About the Team

The Electronics Technology team consists of seven specialists dedicated to advancing core manufacturing and electronic technologies. The team is expected to grow rapidly in the near future to meet increasing global demands. We are looking for a Global Manufacturing Technology Engineer to join the team and develop core manufacturing technologies used in our automotive products. This is a global role, and the successful candidate will work closely with ZF Div. C product teams across all regions, Div. C plants, and the global supply base to identify, evaluate, and release new technologies that deliver measurable improvements in performance and value for ZF.

What you can look forward to:

  • Leading/supporting technology projects for the development of new PCB and ECU packaging, component packaging and PCB assembly materials & technologies.
  • To develop relevant documentation, including qualification requirements, application standards (Engineering and Manufacturing) and design rules released and implemented globally across Global Electronics Manufacturing Technology roadmap implementation aligned with core application and customer application development programs.
  • Day-to-day technical support to Div. C product teams and problem solving for industrialisation topics (PCB, ECU packaging, component packaging, PCB assembly) and coordination of qualification testing of new technology in advance of first use in application.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the industrialisation and potential failure modes of automotive electronics, their design, component technology, materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong Knowledge of PCB fabrication, supply chain and assembly processes.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities supported by a strong logical and analytical approach.
  • Self starter with high motivation and eagerness to progress, open to feedback and committed to continuous learning.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities; good English language skills required.
  • Effective interpersonal and networking skills; a reliable team player able to collaborate with global teams and adapt to time zone differences.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities, able to interact confidently across a variety of technical and management levels.
