About the Team

The IT Infrastructure team supports a complex manufacturing environment across the UK and Spain, working closely with key stakeholders such as the Site Leadership Team, Plant Management, and HR. With around 20–25 colleagues, the team ensures the stability, security, and continuous improvement of site wide IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, end user devices, and production IT systems. Daily work combines operational IT support with infrastructure monitoring and light project management for upgrades and replacements. The role offers exposure beyond classic desktop support, providing an excellent opportunity to grow into infrastructure focused responsibilities within a collaborative, international team.

What you can look forward to as IT Infrastructure Analyst:

  • 3rd Line Client Support: A global service desk or associated second line team is responsible for most client (PC) issues. When more detailed troubleshooting is required they are passed to the local analyst to conclude.
  • Production Support: Maintain and oversee the manufacturing site's IT production infrastructure: shop floor PC clients, network infrastructure, manufacturing IT equipment.
  • Infrastructure Management: Including servers, networks, databases, and hardware components to ensure optimal performance, uptime, and reliability.
  • Global Team Membership: After successful training, the candidate will be eligible to join an (optional) global infrastructure team of their choosing to further their skills (e.g. Server, Network, Storage etc.).
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Respond to technical issues, diagnose problems, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime. Collaborate with on-site teams to address infrastructure-related concerns and offer effective solutions.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols and best practices to safeguard sensitive manufacturing data, ensure compliance with industry standards, and protect against cybersecurity threats.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to IT infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and ease of access for the team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing IT infrastructure efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Propose and implement solutions to optimize workflows and streamline processes.

Your profile as IT Infrastructure Analyst:

  • Desirable but not essential Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working in an IT hands-on role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Understanding of IT systems, including servers, networks, hardware, and software applications.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, with a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Products (Windows, Office 365 etc.) and experience in VMWare Hypervisor/VSphere, Lan/VLAN configuration appreciated.
  • Understanding of ITIL v3 preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent English and confident verbal and written communication skills.
  • UK Driving license.
