Our client is a leading manufacturer of precision CNC machinery, specialising in high-performance equipment for a variety of industries, and is recruiting a Field Service Applications Engineer/CNC Programmer to join their team. You’ll be responsible for travelling across the UK to provide technical support, programming, and process optimisation for CNC machines at customer sites.
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am – 5pm. Please note, this role requires regular travel across the UK, meaning frequent overnight stays will be necessary.

Duties:
- Travel across the UK to provide on-site technical support for CNC machinery, ensuring optimal performance and addressing customer needs.
- Program CNC machines to meet customer requirements, optimising machine performance and ensuring precision in manufacturing.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with CNC equipment, providing timely resolutions to minimise downtime.
- Offer on-site training and support for operators and engineers, ensuring proper machine operation and maintenance practices.
- Perform regular machine servicing and maintenance, ensuring all equipment functions efficiently and meets safety standards.
- Work closely with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions to improve machining processes.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new CNC machinery, ensuring smooth integration into customer operations.
- Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs, and program adjustments to ensure all actions are accurately logged.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience programming CNC machines, with expertise in Fanuc and other relevant CNC software.
- Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, with hands-on experience in programming, set-up, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in using CAD/CAM software for machining and process optimisation within a manufacturing environment.
