The Warehouse Operator at Zeus Packaging Mallusk is responsible for supporting the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse and distribution functions. This role involves managing stock levels, preparing orders, operating warehouse machinery, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods, ensuring proper storage and accurate stock control.
- Pick and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer specifications.
- Operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts, pallet trucks, and order pickers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, updating systems as required and assisting with regular stock counts.
- Load and unload deliveries, ensuring all goods are handled safely and securely.
- Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards at all times.
- Assist in stock rotation, checking for expiry dates and damaged items, and removing any non-compliant stock.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations and timely dispatch of goods.
- Support the implementation of warehouse improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Assist with the preparation of shipments and required paperwork, including delivery notes and packaging.
- Follow and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines and procedures.
SCOPE OF POSITION
The post holder will be expected to work any hours required in the execution of his/her duties. The role does not have line management responsibility.

This position is located in Zeus Packaging Mallusk, Newtownabbey, BT36 4FS.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A forklift operator licence is desirable, but not essential.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is beneficial.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet trucks, with a commitment to safety.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in order picking and stock management.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry goods as required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software.
