The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and inventory control functions across the UK facilities. This role ensures optimal stock levels, accurate inventory records, and efficient warehouse operations, while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to support business goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage the daily workflow, scheduling, and performance of the purchasing and inventory control team.
- Maintain and update inventory databases for all products, ensuring accuracy across all UK warehouses.
- Conduct regular perpetual inventory checks, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to optimize stock levels and forecast demand accurately.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, pricing, or contractual issues.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and manage slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Ensure effective stock rotation and availability by leveraging Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) tools.
- Prepare and present regular reports on stock levels, inventory movements, and departmental performance.
Requirements:
