We are a stealth-mode AI laboratory researching and developing Machine Learning models. The founding team consists of Cambridge graduates and former engineers at Microsoft, Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs. We are backed by prominent investors from the US and the UK, including institutional VC funds and C-level executives of global technology companies.

The role involves the design and development of a web-based application for Machine Learning workloads. We put strong emphasis on user experience, aesthetics and pixel-perfect design. You will be working closely with the Machine Learning team to understand the underlying concepts and user flows; however, you are not required or expected to have a background in Machine Learning. We are looking to hire a software engineer with a background in UI/UX design, and with a strong sense of aesthetics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop web-based user interfaces using TypeScript and Next.js.
  • Work with a graphic designer on the creation of original visual assets.
  • Help co-hire your future colleagues.

We use and leverage Vercel, AWS and GitHub as much as possible. The codebase is written in TypeScript, Next.js, shadcn/ui and Tailwind.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of industry experience in frontend engineering, developing and designing responsive web applications using TypeScript.
  • Excellent knowledge of the frontend fundamentals: In-depth knowledge of the core technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript and React.
  • You have the ability to break down complex projects into actionable tasks.
  • Contributions to and experience in open-source projects.

We offer a competitive salary, equity and benefits package, 28 days + public holidays allowance, and opportunities for professional growth and progression with your career.
