We are a stealth-mode AI laboratory researching and developing Machine Learning models. The founding team consists of Cambridge graduates and former engineers at Microsoft, Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs. We are backed by prominent investors from the US and the UK, including institutional VC funds and C-level executives of global technology companies.
The role involves the design and development of a web-based application for Machine Learning workloads. We put strong emphasis on user experience, aesthetics and pixel-perfect design. You will be working closely with the Machine Learning team to understand the underlying concepts and user flows; however, you are not required or expected to have background in Machine Learning. This is a senior-level role, and we are looking to hire a software engineer with background in product design, UI/UX design, and with a strong sense of aesthetics.

In this role, you will:
- Design and develop web-based user interfaces using TypeScript and Next.js.
- Lead projects from inception to launch and beyond, having a high degree of autonomy and ownership over your work.
- Work closely with the founding team and contribute towards best practices, standards, and culture of the company.
- Work with a graphic designer on the creation of original visual assets.
- Co-hire your future colleagues.
Our tech stack:
- We use and leverage Vercel, AWS and GitHub as much as possible.
- The codebase is written in TypeScript, Next.js, shadcn/ui and Tailwind.
- We use Figma for wireframes and ideation.
- We are highly confident in our backend API schemas and functionality.
What we are looking for:
- Frontend development: 5+ years of industry experience in frontend engineering, developing and designing responsive web applications using TypeScript.
- Excellent knowledge of the frontend fundamentals: In-depth knowledge of the core technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript and React.
- Design systems: Understanding of popular design systems, such as Google Material Design 3 or Apple HIG.
- Leadership: A track record of leading complex projects.
- Problem solving: Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You have the ability to break down complex projects into actionable tasks.
- Collaboration and communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Visual design: Background in graphic design and/or visual arts.
- Open-source: Contributions to and experience in open-source projects.
- Startup experience: Experience with a startup work environment and wider ecosystem.
