We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and deliver robust software solutions that power mission‑critical communications systems. You will join a collaborative Agile team focused on ensuring performance, reliability, scalability, and technical excellence across diverse environments.

As a senior member of the engineering team, you will play a key role in shaping technical direction, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to architectural and design decisions across the platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Your contributions will include full‑cycle development covering analysis, design, implementation, testing, and integration, helping to shape the future of life‑saving communications technologies.
  • You will take ownership of complex technical challenges and deliver high‑quality software solutions within Agile sprint cycles, contributing to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions that meet user requirements and business goals, while contributing to system architecture, technical strategy, and engineering best practices.
  • You will write clean, efficient, and maintainable C#/.NET code for a WPF platform, participate in peer reviews, and champion high coding standards across the development team.
  • You will also provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and peers, supporting a collaborative and continuous learning culture within the engineering team.
  • Additionally, you will contribute to debugging, testing, validation, and product documentation to ensure software quality, reliability, and compliance within mission‑critical environments.

Required Experience

  • You’ll have strong commercial experience in C#/.NET software development and be highly proficient with WPF as a target platform.
  • You will have experience designing and developing scalable, high‑performance applications within complex technical environments.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to CI/CD delivery practices is essential.
  • You’ll possess a strong understanding of software architecture, object‑oriented programming principles, and software design patterns.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell would be advantageous.
  • You should be comfortable mentoring junior team members, contributing to technical discussions, and driving engineering best practices across the wider team.

Zetron is seeking highly motivated professionals who want to contribute to its collaborative culture and become heavily invested in the future success of the company. These roles are hybrid and require developers to be onsite in Hull, for at least 2–3 days per week. These roles require candidates to be eligible for UK SC Security Clearance.
