About The Role

The Office Fit-Out Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering commercial office fit‑out projects from inception through to completion, with minimum disruption to the business.

The role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality and environmental/sustainability standards while managing client expectations, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead office fit‑out projects from design development through construction, handover and close‑out.
  • Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts, resource plans and success criteria.
  • Maintain business continuity while fit‑out works are in progress.
  • Coordinate internal and external project teams, including designers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and engineers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Manage tendering, contractor selection, procurement, contracts, scopes of work and variations.
  • Track costs, approve invoices, manage change requests and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee on‑site construction activity, contractor performance, inspections, quality assurance and defect management.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, WHS/OHS requirements, safety standards and project documentation.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, practical completion, handover documentation, warranties, certifications and post‑project reviews.

About You

You will be an experienced project professional with a strong background in commercial office fit‑out projects.

Highly organised and commercially aware, you will be confident managing project plans, budgets, schedules, contractors and stakeholder relationships.

You will bring strong communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills, with a clear focus on quality, safety, risk management and successful project delivery.

  • The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Have
  • A degree or diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, Building, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing commercial office fit‑out projects.
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, time management and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets, financial reporting, contractors, procurement and contract administration.
  • A strong understanding of construction methodologies and building services.
  • Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills, with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Confidence managing risk, variations, problem‑solving, negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience coordinating project teams, contractors and suppliers.
  • High attention to detail, with a quality‑focused approach to project delivery, defects and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work outside core hours when required.
  • Preparedness to undergo UK Security Clearance.
