The Rail Projects Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of railway inspection surveys, from planning, execution to data analysis and reporting. This role involves overseeing field operations (worldwide), leading a large team of data processors and delivery technicians, and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. The RPM collaborates with clients, data capture and processing teams and other stakeholders to deliver accurate and reliable data for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for timely delivery of all railway inspection projects, working closely with various sub-teams who carry their own responsibilities.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the proposal, specification, and contracted scope of works for each project.
- Build and maintain robust programmes to achieve timely project delivery.
- Identification and mitigation of commercial risks.
- Tracking project budgets to minimise the risk of overspend.
- Ensure compliance with Zetica and our clientβs health and safety process.
- Provide professional and timely communication with customers, subcontractors, and colleagues.
- Maintain regular consultation with the data capture team to ensure that robust planning for all surveys is carried out well in advance of any survey and that the surveys are executed according to plan.
- Acting as a liaison between the data capture, data processing, data delivery and management teams.
- Ensuring that deliverables meet all requirements from the project specification.
Full training for this specialist role will be provided.

- Tools proficiency: Proficient with PM tools such as MS Project or Jira.
The Team
You will be working as part of the Rail Department, liaising with managers across the various teams that are involved in project execution and delivery.
