Responsibilities
- Project Preparation: Prepare projects based on customer requirements, assessing and agreeing on effective techniques prior to site work, with a focus on quality, customer service, budget, and program constraints.
- Data Collection: Competently collect high-quality data, ensuring good repeatability and accuracy. Data collection includes a range of techniques such as electromagnetics, magnetics, radio frequency location, GPR, seismics, ERI, and utility services detection.
- Data Processing and Analysis: Use specialist geophysical software and drawing packages (e.g., AutoCAD, Oasis Montaj, RES2DINV, GeoGiga, Geolitix, and in-house solutions) to QC, process, analyse, and interpret data.
- Reporting: With supervision, guidance, and authorization, undertake all phases of reporting, from factual summaries to interpretation and recommendations, maintaining a strong focus on customer requirements and quality.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and expand your capabilities beyond core competencies.
- Policy Compliance: Adhere to the company's health, safety, environmental, and quality policies, setting an example through their consistent application across all project aspects.
- Innovation: Identify and implement new methods that improve technical performance or enhance efficiency in both field and office environments.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper care and maintenance of equipment on-site.
- Professionalism and Commitment: Demonstrate professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to providing a high level of service, even when extra effort or additional hours are required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications
- A relevant degree (e.g., Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or related discipline)
- A full manual UK driving licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive problem-solving and innovation
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of site work, including lifting and carrying equipment (up to 25kg), walking significant distances, and working on uneven terrain.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team, taking direction from colleagues as readily as providing it when responsible for tasks.
- Prioritize safe working practices while ensuring the integrity and quality of the work being undertaken.
- Be physically fit and able to work long days, managing work pressure on both body and mind effectively.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, site liaisons, and colleagues across all parts of the company.
- Experience with geophysical fieldwork or data analysis (desirable)
- Knowledge of specialist geophysical software such as AutoCAD, Oasis Montaj, or RES2DINV (desirable)
